WH-1000XM3 won't charge except when on.

I bought the headset about 5 months ago, Good build quality, everything is perfect, enjoyed the noise cancelling etc.

The issue is, whenever I tried to charge it while the headset is turned off, it just wouldn't charge, the red light wouldn't come on as well.

I always have to put it on before I plug it of which it behaves normal.

The problem is how do I charge it if I ever drain the battery to zero, and am unable to turn it on before charging.

How do I resolve this issue?

I do use its supplied USB-c cable on my macbook to charge it.

have you tried a different charger instead of the macbook?

I would try to use a smartphone charger (no speed-charger, since they don't work) to see if it may be an issue with the macbook.
