How to turn off demo mode in WI-1000x

Hi! I've recently purchased a WI-1000x headphone from eBay. The unit is in demo mode. Does anybody know how to turn off demo mode? I can't do a factory reset as the manual says nor firmware update.

I've taken a look at the help guide for your headphones but there doesn't seem to be a demo mode. I found that there are two types of reset though. Have you tried this one?

If it doesn't work, tell us more about this demo mode (what do the headphones do?, is it only active when you connect them to your phone?, etc.)

Both resetting ways don't work. The headphone has a permanent bluetooth name WI-1000X DEMO a it can't be changed. Also, you need always to pair it with you device. The phone never remind it as a paired headphone.

Finally the firmware version is 1.0.2 and can not be upgraded. Sony app does not give me that posibility.

Beside of all those things, headphone works very well with a fantastic sound.

I have other two headphones, WF-1000X and WH-H900N, but the sound and noise cancellation of WI-1000X are terrific.

That's strange, I think you may have ended up with a demo unit by accident. But there doesn't seem to be a way to change the mode to/from "Demo".

Have you checked with the point of sale to see if there was a mix up?

I bought it through ebay. The seller resold it with no knowledge about its characteristics, only that it is in new condition. Anyway, it's a good product. I'm very happy with it !
