over charging my Sony NW -A45

Hi.....it's happened 3 or 4 times, that I go to bed and forget to unplug the charger. Does this do any long term problems or is there an auto shut off?

Hi there,

If you let the battery charge for longer than just the charge time, it will end up damaging the battery over the long term. I would recommend disconnecting your device when the battery status icon switches to 'Full'. In answer to your question, there is no auto shut off that I am aware off.

Hi,

I have the NW-35 which looks very similiar to your NW-45, on my player under Settings/Device settings there is a battery care option which, if selected, limits the charge to 90% of the battery capacity and thus extends the life span of the battery, hope this helps and works for you.
