Does DSEE HX on mdr1000x work on streaming services?

I have Google play music and I'm wondering does DSEE HX work on services like that as well as MP3 as I feel like when I play music on MP3 it sounds slightly better then streaming it. It might just be me but would appreciate it if someone could answer

As far as I know DSEE HX will only work on apps which support the

Sony Hi-Res Audio API which until a year ago was Sony Music and Poweramp (although

that was slightly buggy,)

It has been suggested elsewhere online that it is possible to remove the restrictions and enable

it on any music app, but the people writing the articles have disclaimers with it too.

Google will be your best bet if you want to investigate further.

DSEE-HX for MDR-1000X is always on as long you use the bluetooth connection.

ONLY exception is when you use LDAC codec

DSEE-HX with xperia is an other story XD
