mdr-1000x can turn on by itself !?

My 1000x turned itself on when I fell asleep last night,and turned itself off after about 5 minutes.

How can I fix it?

Hi there

Ive heard complaints of the automatic switching off after a short time (5 mins?) but not one that it turns itself on by itself.

I guess the first thing to do is reset it back to factory settings:

However if that doesnt work - how have you connected it? Via wire or bluetooth? Is there an audio source running on another device that these headphones are connected to that maybe waking them up?

Have you tried resetting them and also checking

any active connections, as Quinnicus mentioned above?
