NWZ-W262 orange led blinking

Hello,

I have recently purchased this mp3 player and it worked perfectly until today, when suddenly it stopped reproduction.

Now when I turn it on, green led is lit for a few seconds and after 10 or so seconds orange light starts blinking. Player doesn't respond to any buttons and I have tried reseting it as well.

However player is still recognised when connected to computer and file transfer is working without problems.

Can anyone recognise the problem and help?

I am experiencing exactly the same issue! I cannot even re-format the device, as it is completely irresponsive.

Is there a solution for the problem?

I have taken mine to local Sony service where they told me that it cannot be fixed so I can get refund or replacement.

I'm having the same problem.

Green light turno on, then turn off. So orange light turn on and keep freeze all the time.

No sound, no music.

COmputer recognize my playeer and I can transfer files.
