WF-1000XM005 no voice guidane

Does anyone know how to activate the voice guidance on the WF-1000XM005? I have recently switched from the WF-1000XM004, and I found the feature useful for monitoring such things as battery levels without having dig my phone out to open the app.

You can turn on/off the voice guidance feature and change its language using the Sony | Headphones Connect app

Hi,

I have tried this. When I adjust volume I hear the voice guidance, but when I use the earbuds, I just hear the beep tone. I do not get the battery percentage information or noise cancelling/ambient information etc.
