Just wondering if anyone has got an A105 connected to a headphone amp or amp/dac combi successfully through the USB C connection . Tried a Zen Dac but no audio

So it would be 3.5mm to 3.5mm or 3.5mm to rca then ?

Newb question would that still output hi res like dsd128 if it’s connected up to a headphone amp ?

I believe it should work just fine with 3.5mm/RCA.

AFAIK different cables/connections only impact the number of channels (3.5mm being limited to Stereo 2.0 for example) but not the quality, unless you go wireless, then it depends on the method, codec, etc.
