Camera not ready.

Sony Xperia Z5 compact

Android 5.1.1

In some apps (e.g. mobile-pocket, george go, esprit,...) the camara is not working.

Steps:

1) Open app

2) Try to scan a barcode

Result: Black screen - after few seconds a window pop up "Camera not ready."

Already tried:

- Restart

- Reset camera app

- Uninstall camera updates

Working apps:

- Camera app

- Amazon Barcodescanner

- NeoReader

Since those are third party apps, you have to contact the app developers regarding this issues.

it's not an app problem. All the apps work as expected on other devices with Android 5.1.1 (Tested with Xperia Z2 Tablet, Samsung S6 Edge, LG G4) and on a Sony Xperia Z2 (Android 4.4.4), so it seems to be a bug on Sony side with Xperia Z5 compact.

Just because an app work with a phone the same its not true with another phone, but if you don't believe me that's fine, you can contact Sony directly >>> Local support
