Flickering screen during alarm Z3 Compact

I am currently experiencing this thing: when my alarm turns on, the alarm screen is flickering like crazy. No issue on the alarm itself. Just the alarm screen. I searched the net, no link on what could be the cause. Please help. Do you experience this also?

Check if you experience the same on safe mode.

How to boot on safe mode.

How to boot on safe mode on Lolipop
1. press and hold the power key
2. once you get the pop up menu
3. press and hold "power off"
4. Boot on safe mode should become available

Hi Phy, tried the safe mode. Set the alarm, and didn't experience the problem. I tried the alarm again on the normal setting and the flickering was gone. Will observe on the next days if the issue occurs again. Thanks.

The problem it's caused by a third party app.

Welcome to the community,

What Phy has advised is definitely possible, however this could also just be that Clock app playing up, if that is the case try clearing the Clock app data. This will remove all alarms, however it will likely remove any bad data for the future.

Menu > Settings > Apps > All > Clock > Clear Data

Hi Jake, I tried your solution but I'm still experiencing the problem. The alarm screen is flickering, I can't even drag the off button when it turns on.

I had a problem same as this when I downloaded the android update, ended up doing a factory reset from the software on my pc, it sorted out
