It does not sound when I receive call

Good morning, since the last update when I receive a call, the phone does not ring, if I restart it ringo once and subsequent calls does not sound anything. I tried to change the pitch, volume settings, but still the same. any ideas?

I know we keep saying this but do try the below

Try performing a system repair using PC Companion as this will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone and erase all data so best to backup before you begin

Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

@Teikuei Before you try the repair, try to reset app preferences under settings-apps-all.

Settings then Apps then tap the 3 dots on some firmware versions then you'll see Reset app preferences

Hi, I have the same problem. I have upgraded my Z1 Compact mobile to 5.1.1. After upgrade it rings only once when receives the first call after restart, on each further call it only vibrates. When I want to select different ring tone, after selecting one the Ringtone select function freezes. Noticed that I can select from ringtones as long as the selected ringtone is playing, when the selected ringtone finish playing, the Ringtone select function stops responding and crashes. Have you resolved the problem already?

Hi All,

Have the exact same problem with call sound - after system start it rings only ones. This is true for any sound selected.

Is there any information about release date for the firmware update with fix for this issue?

The factory reset is not an option - not going to spend hours resetting and then installing apps, tuning the phone again just to workaround the Sony's Dev and QA team fail. Especially considering how many users faced this bug.

After factory reset and restore firmware ir start working again.
Done everything with Pc companion. Make a backup before.
My english ir not very good, sorry.

Turn off the events in Smart Connect app, should solve your problem temporarily and wait for a bug fix update by Sony.
