Sony Xperia Z5 Android phone, Cannot play video Invalid URL error

Hi all,

I'm new to the Sony Community and looking for some help resolving issues with my videos stored on my phone.

Nearly 50 of my family videos that i recorded using my phone are displaying an error message popup on top of the video that states "Cannot play video. Invalid URL."

It's really upsetting and I'm unable to resolve these .

What I tried:

I copied the file on my pc, i don't see the error on the pc but it's even worst.
1. Media Player Classic v1.7
  1. Audio lags
  2. Video shows lines and lags
2. VLC
  1. Video shows lines and lags
  2. Audio plays fine interestingly
I moved the file from my SD card to internal memory, the issue remains.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

I'd like to know if these videos was playing correctly in the past and then it began failing, or they never played correctly?

Hi @Qatrium, they were playing absolutely fine. Most of them are memories of my little one. Only recently I have starting receiving the error message 😕
