Sony Email Stopping

I realize Sony announced that their email app was end of life.

Lately I've been getting an "Email keeps stopping" error that pops up. Then shows options "App info", "Close app".

Has anyone else seen this? I can't recall any significant update my phone has received other than Android 10 and that was quite awhile ago. Error just started in the past 7-10 days.

Yes, this serious issue occurred on my Xperia 1 phone too, relatively recently (10 days ago). However, it built up to impressive 497 issues over the last 10 days. I did all the simple fixing steps:

1) restarted the phone,

2) clear cache of the email app,

3) started the phone in safe mode and run the email app (looks working in the safe mode),

and assured myself that the app cannot be uninstalled (I wish it could).

It looks like to me that the Sony Xperia support team will have to step in to fix, these warnings drive me crazy. And the lockdown at the same time?

You cannot uninstall, but you can disable the app.

Either long-tap on the app icon and tap info or goto settings -> apps & notifications -> see all apps -> 3 dots upper right corner and find the mail app.

No, sorry, the disable (as well as the force stop) is blocked in my version (16.0.A.0.12 on Android 10).
