Ha! Exactly the same behavior. Until now I still can't get any PD charger working correctly with it. All doing on and off continuously, some even trips out to protection mode, or revert back to 5V eventually. So according to your pics the Aukey chargers worked?

Xperia 1 is supposed to be compatible with PD standard, but when using with a non-oem PD charger rated at 18w, and same 5v / 9v / 12v, charging keeps turning on and off continuoisly. I tried with multiple different PD chargers with the same result. I suspect that Sony is not following the PD standards correctly and has put some non-compatible special circuitry.

Is there a chance that the non-oem charger will cause any issues with the phone?

Send me a DM of your graphs. I like to verify that I have the same odd charging behavior as yours. This Android 10 update seems to have broken the PD compatibility completely.
