Power button not working on xperia L1

My power button has stopped working this morning, I have tried pressing it for 10/20 seconds as suggested in a previous post, but this is not doing anything. The only way I can access my screen is to plug the phone in to wake it up. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Usually, reboot is "Press and hold down the power key and the volume up key at the same time for 6 seconds."

Double-tap to wake isn't on the L1. A feature found in flagships like in the Xperia 1.

However, there are 3rd party apps you can search around to go around it for the meantime.
