Seems there may be a new security update for the Xperia 1.

Can a changelog be provided for any bug fixes?

Sony in their wisdom it seems are too proud to show us a changeling as that would mean admitting to errors

Usually the first to produce a changeling are the XDA forums

I'm curious to know how long it will take to land on my device.

The last update to 55.1.A.3.49 was announced on 27 January 2020 and landed on my device on 3 March 2020.

This announcement is 10 March 2020.

I'll wait patiently.

Woah!!!!

Not sure if this is just a security update but for some reason the FP sensor is mighty FAST.

AROUND 0.25 of a second to wake phone up and I don't have to press so hard on the sensor .

I'm going to delete my finger prints and re-register them for a full test.

Confirmed!

It might be just a security update, however the FP sensor is CRAZY fast now for some reason!

It was accurate before and worked with ALL my banking aps however it took about a second (still decent speed to wake up) now it's much faster.

Going to see if EIIS for 4k video recording had improved

Oh, that is a welcomed improvement, hopefully the stutters and judder of 4k are sorted too.

I live in Brazil and I also have a sony mh-1000xm3 and It was hard to listen to music without a disconnection between xperia 1 and the headphone. After this update, I think the problem was solved. I don't know if completely solved but I think the bluetooth connection has improved.

I guess Ukraine is behind on the rollout.

The latest order I received (in the U.S.) : 55.1.A.0.748 (Android 10 Update), 55.1.A.3.49 Update, then 55.1.A.3.107 Update (current discussion).

Speaking of which;

Logically speaking; if 1080p HDR was behaving like it was on original firmware release (similar to how 4k is behaving now) and is now fixed then surely we have HOPE that 4k stability CAN be fixed via software as well?
