Missing SIP functionality

I just got my brand new Sony Xperia XZ today (unlocked). However, I'm already disapointed. It seems that the SIP (VoIP) functionality is missing on this device?!? Could this be? SIP is one of the functionality I bought this device for. And no, I don't want to install any SIP App from Google Play store. This is not an option.

What do you see under

Settings > call settings > calling accounts > SIP accounts ?

There is no option "calling accounts" in call settings. What device and what firmware do you use?

Hi,

Builtin support for SIP is not available in all markets i'm afraid so if you have this feature or not depends on where you bought the phone (country/operator). I recommend that you contact your Local support for more information if your phone should have this feature.

I bought the premium priced, provider independent Sony phone! I see no reason why SIP support should not be available in my country (Switzerland). Specially since other Sony phones (like the Z3) support SIP out of the box.

BTW: Which markets support SIP on the Xperia XZ?

It's handled at a local level so i'm afraid i don't have a list of all markets that have this feature and the reason why it may not be available.

I do have it in my unit which is for the nordics though.
