Will this ever happen or will Sony just ignore its Xperia phones like it was build by a 3rd party company they don't care about?

all Sony phones to date have been using LCD displays which have too slow refresh rates to provide a good VR experience.

I think you already have the answer in your sentence. Sony Mobile is another company within a company. I am not sure if they don't even plan products together.

Incorrect. I'm using the XZ Premium with a Freefly headset and because of it's superior 4K display, its way better than the Gear VR. There is no motion blur that Samsung fans will tell you it suffers from. It's exceptional.
