Are the top & bottom sides of Xperia XZ1 are also metal? Because it's said that XZ1 has a full unibody metal. Just want to clarify it. Thanks!

No, it's not metal. It's plastic.

"The top and bottom also had to be finished in plastic, and are thus colored in a slightly different shade than the rest of the body. They are also curved now, Instead of flat as on most of the Xperia lineup lately." - GSM Arena XZ1 review.

Hi all,

I would assume that the XZ1 is also using the Alkaleido metal, but Sony did not promote this for the XZ1. So I'm just suspicious about my assumption.

So I've recieved some info, that the main cover of the Xperia™ XZ1, which covers the back and sides, is made of metal (aluminium alloy). The top and bottom are made of plastic.
