Problem with Build Quality

Hey guys,

I have two problems with my XZ Premium. There are two factors which don't feel premium at all:

- The cap for SD makes eeking-noises when pressing the phone on that point. It does feel like it's about to crack but not stable at all. Maybe in future iterations of those phones you can make it more solid? Otherwise the whole frame feels amazing

- The volume-rockers are very lightly in their frame. They have space from about 1-mm and moves in its area. It even lifts with the finger when touching it with sticky fingers for example.

Those two parts don't feel premium at all. I didnt have problems with both of it on My Z5, it felt very solid but this is bad for a phone which costs as much as other very capable contestors.

I have problems with the up and down aluminum parts who loose very easy its paint color with for example the keys on my pocket...

No, it's very nice to the touch. I say that the top and bottom are made of tinted aluminum and metallic rods or with a blow wears the varnish. I do not understand why to manufacture it in three different materials. The plastic on the sides would have been ideal. Thank you

I have the volume keys lose as well... it's normal and I experienced it with almost every xperia device except the Z series.

I am a little relieved. How about the cap of the sd? Is it squeeking a little as well or rock-solid?

I have the same issue as you. The volume button is loose . But the sd card has no problem .

Hmm I checked my volume button and it is loose too., but to be honest I would not notice it if you would not tell me.

For me there is differebt problem with volume rocker. In previous Zs it was sticking out more so it was easier to use it. Now many times I am increasing the volume when I want to lower it down and vice versa. It is hard to feel it. It was better in the past for sure. Also, for bigger devices like Premium it should be still below finger print sensor as there is no such issue (device is longer). For smaller ones deefinitely above.

Today I went to a mall with electronics retail. I saw an XZ Premium new, not activated with all films over.

What take my attention, sadly, is the junction between lateral plastic frame and upper metallic one, junction not continues but detached.

What worries me is that is too easy for all parts detache theyself for example with cold/hot temperatures?

Same as mine XZ Premium . There's some space between the metal and side plastic . I just ignore it haha

Well.. Im a sony fans. But I quite dissapointed on this phone.

*Speaker volume sometimes will automatic lower the volume

*Screen brightness sometimes not function . Adjust will not change the brightness

*Camera launch a few times. Then will hang the phone will auto restart home launcher

*Bluetooth is terrible after connect to Bluetooth speaker. I press play on Bluetooth device. The phone play music from phone speakers ...

*The price drop so fast than my expect .. Drop RM300 in Malaysia. .. XZs has drop RM200

*A lot a lot of dust stick with the phone.. Even I has a cover on it

My SD card cover thingy also squeeks when slightly pressing it. Hope it's 'normal'.
