Covers in general aren't at all that expensive. But keep in mind that your phone will NOT be waterproof anymore. Not to mention that not everyone is qualified to open such a device.

Other than that, your warranty is void the moment you pry the phone open.

Had same issue with Z5P and now XZP.

If you take time to really clean the old case up, and use correct taping on the replacement it's as "waterproof" as it was before ie not really.

Just take care peeling off the NFC chip and replacing it in the correct position and you'll be fine.
