Heya, I got the same earbuds with my xzp, & I understand why they are at different lengths for the reason you just explained. But, why is it that my buds keep falling out of my ears while walking or jogging, shouldn't they fit nice & snug?

I can't see the photo, but all earbuds I've used for past 10 years or so have had different cable lengths. they're made that way so that you run the longer cable behind your neck. that way if you pull them out of your ears or they fall out, they hang on your neck instead of falling to the ground.

They used to use this odd earbuds with different lengrh for many ears ago, recently and finally they get rid of this bad idea and started to prlduce so called Y earbuds which means both have nice and same length which is more useful and you do not have to put it over your neck as it is strange and unnecessary. I have noise vcancelling ones and the ones that came in box and thanks God both are Y style.

Seems you were unlucky to get the old style ones.

By the way I noticed the previous rubbers was better and more comfortable than the ones used in new noise cancelling headphones. It was more rounded in the past that was better. New ones tend to move out from my ears more frequently, i tried different size but the issue is still there.

The different length of cable is useful if you want the cable to run on side of your body instead of straight down which is a better solution in many situations (Y cable would only be better if you carry your phone in one of those 80ties front pocket things)

For jogging I prefer headphones which have a "clamp" to hold on the ear - for one you don't need to insert them so deep so you can still have better situational awareness for things like cars, bikes and dogs and they also hold better during the movement. (wireless is also better for sports in my opinion)
