Xperia keyboard taps constantly misinterpreted as gesture

I'm having this major issue with typing on my Xperia Z5 Dual.

I type really fast, and most of the time, my taps are mistakenly registered as gesture and xperia keyboard automatically inserts the wrong words. For example, if I try to type the word "test" too fast, the keyboard will register me swiping the words "the set". and this happens everytime I type.

The latest Xperia keyboard update clearly states that it has fixed this problem, and the problem only happens when the phone is in stamina mode:

The issue is not fixed, and turning off stamina mode doesn't work.

Anybody else having this issue? I'm currently using Xperia Z5 Dual running on Lollipop 5.1.1, I have ho intention to upgrade to Marshmallow due to the removal of stamina mode.

I didn't remember having this issue on my old Xperia Z running Kitkat 4.4.4, though I has since tested the issue on my Xperia Z, and indeed ot can also happen on my Xperia Z too, though much less frequent.

Any idea how to solve this?
