doze mode not working?

Z3 compact- 6.0.1.>>

it seems my phone never goes into doze mode. keeps losing about 2-3% every hours if just sitting idle during the day or over night. when I check the battery stats it shows that google play services and android are the only culprits to this affect.

the two above services are not allowed to be ''optimized'' in doze settings, so how can i resolve my phone not being able to go into doze mode?

Thanks.

What if you try Stamina mode instead?

Also, settings > apps > select those apps > uninstall the updates > restart the phone > update the apps > check again

I forgot to mention in my orignal post that I already unistalled the Google play update and updated. and the issue still persist.

as far as trying the Stamina mode, this is a no go for me. this new Stamina that was introduced in 6.0.1. is diffrent then what we had on LP, you can't get rid of the notification, and also brightness level goes down dramatically with no option to manually adjusting to higher level of brightness.
