VoLTE support for Z5 Compact HK version

Hello there,

I have an Z5 Compact bought from HongKong an I am using it in mainland China. My carrier is China Unicom.

There's no doubt that Z5 Compact supports VoLTE, and I can enable VoLTE when I am using a HongKong SIM card.

But when I using a China Unicom's SIM card, there's no enable VoLTE opinion. So I'd like to know is there any limit in the firmware that prevent me from using VoLTE in China.

BTY China Unicom has began testing VoLTE in China for a while, a friend of mine has successfully using VoLTE in Shenzhen (with a Samsung Galaxy phone).

I have a Z5 international version (unlocked phone) using on AT&T in the USA and VoLTE is not available. The carriers restrict what phones can use it. My wife's Xperia XA is the same also on AT&T.

I've been using ZoiPer for when I want to make a call on LTE or Wifi. Noticable improved call quality (sound).

I've asked my carrier and they said that they have no limit of any device to use VoLTE.
