Screen Instantly Locks The Second I Unlock It - Help!!

Hey there

I was typing a message and the screen suddenly went black and locked. I unlocked it and after a few seconds it did it again.

Every time it got quicker to the point I had to rush my passcode or it would already be a black screen before I finish putting it in.

I've tried holding the volume up and power key and restarting. I get about 30 seconds use before the cycle starts again.

I have managed to get into settings and turn all of the screen settings to 30 mins but this has made no difference.

help! My phone is going off and I can't do anything about it and people are going to think I'm being ignorant!

Test it in >>> safe mode if you dont' experience the same then it's a third party app causing this.

Is there anything blocking or partially blocking the proximity sensor ? a film, case, glass?
