z5 compact touchscreen acting weird

my lcd is acting kinda weird where i didnt touch the screen but than the phone suddently move on it own and a part of the screen can be touched...when i close the phone restart or formated the phone the same thing happens..i hope sony have a solution for this..

Hi @eday, I am very sorry to hear that.

Do I understand you correctly in that the device reacts on it's own, as in it reacts as if you are touching the display without you doing so? Can you try activating the "Show touches" in the developer options under Settings > Developer options in order to see if it registers "Ghost touches"? To enable Developer options, go to Settings > About phone > Tap the build number until it says that you're a developer.

In addition, when it doesn't react to your touch in some parts of the display, can you try clearing that area in the touch test of Diagnostics under Settings > About phone > Diagnostics > Touchscreen?

Let me know how those tests went!

You can google any brand and you will find issues with them, the worst part is when users claim that the phone self cracked, or self + anything.

I am so sorry for the late reply, I've been out of office due to illness @eday.

In this case it is just as @uliwooly says, it would be best to have it looked at at an authorized service center. The easiest way for you to get information on how to do so is by contacting your Local support. I would help you, but I'm afraid that I work Globally and therefore I am not familiar with your local routines, warranty terms and consumer laws.

i already go to my authorized service center but can i ask when bought the phone earlier this year at some sony center in johor they said they do not provide screen warranty does it true'?

You have warranty for all the components which protects you as a consumer from manufacturing defects. Should your display be damaged due to a manufacturing defect, then our warranty covers it. However, please note that it is up to the authorized service center which examines your devices to determine if a damaged component falls under warranty or not.

For more information about your local service routines, warranty terms and consumer laws it would be best to get in touch with your Local support, they'll be better informed as far as your market goes!
