System update stuck

Please help, brand new m5 updating for 2 days now. Not responding to screen or power on/off button. Can't stop the update, and update doesn't seem to be stopping itself. Is 2 days normal for this kind of thing? Is it chowing my data? It keeps on with Android starting, optimising apps over and over again.

are you performing the update OTA? or thu Xperia companion? try to restart the device, then connect it to PC. software repair using Xperia Companion.
