Hi everyone, I broke my smartphone and now I've gotta buy a new one.

I've been a iPhone user (didn't like the missing expanding memory) and a Samsung user (like it but I'm not a fan of huge phones).

I'm thinking to go for a z5 compact, it's very appealling: good specs. and awesome reviews, but also lots of pepole complaining about it...

z3 Compact seems much more stable but it's a 2 years ago phone.

I'm confused, z5 Compact or z3 Compact?

I guess only users can help me out here, please do it.

Make sure to buy it in such a way to test it yourself and be able to return it should you decide you don't like it. Let me also mention, I'd consider the slightly larger z5 (or any other similarly sized phone, such as htc 10). I also came from 4.7 in screen and thought that was the best size. That was until I tried 5.2in which now I consider the absolute right size in a phone.

Altough I am a Z5C user, I agree with totoroo. My brother has got the regular Z5 and honestly, the difference is not that much. Besides you get to have 1 GB more RAM for better multitasking (where Z5C doesn't match my expectations, hoping for some improvement on this issue with upcoming updates). But if you want to stick to a smaller phone while sacrificing almost nothing in terms of top-of-the-notch chipset, camera, build quality/design and other features, Z5C is an absolute gem (I upgraded from a Galaxy Note 2 phablet phone so I'm in love with Z5C's size now)

Hi, Z5 is in my opinion a fantastic phone......obviously everone has their own opinions etc but remember that this Forum is used by people who have come on for advice or to complain about certain faults or issues etc....there will be a far greater percentage of these posts than people joining or commenting on just how great their phone is , good luck in your choice :smileysmileythumbsup:

this is a user based forum, most people will come here to complain or voice out their problems.

for me I would choose Xperia Z5compact (well, I do have one ,, so)

1.) there is no flaps covering the usb port ( very important in terms of wear and tear)

2.) latest in terms of production., so it should received updates far longer than Xperia z3 compact

3.) matte/frosted back glass panel. having fingerprints infront glass is frustrating , having it in the back will be more of a problem

4.) fingerprint sensor !

5.) new camera sensor (front and back)

.... I could give you more reasons why you should have Xperia z5c... but I think those would suffice.

If you have more questions, feel free to message back. a ton of research will save you a ton of regrets later when choosing a device

You made your point Nolramlb: z3c is getting old and obsolete. I kinda thoght so too.

The thing that scare me about z5c is the CPU, if it get too hot the phone will be slower and having a fast phone (no more than 1 or 2 seconds to do tasks/open apps or documents) is very important to me, the only thing that's more important is having a small phone. This size is already too big for me but I guess there is no other options on the market now (and probably never will be in a near future). I guess small and powerful isn't an option nowadays...

I read people complaining about the photo app, too slow and heavy, perhaps I can download a 3rd part app and solve this problem, just untill Sony solve this issue with an upgrade.

I read people complaining about battery, is Stamina Mode working fine? Is still there after the latest updates?

Thank you for the patience and the willing to help
