Battery randomness

The story is following:
I had the phone for 2 years and there were no problems with it untill one day. I was undressing and my phone fell from my pocket to the floor from about 3 feet/1 meter. I didn't have time to care about it becouse I was in hurry but when I did take a look at it, the SIM card wasn't recognized and the battery was almost dead. I opened the lid and removed and put them both out and back in. That didn't help. I tried to play with it for a while untill I noticed that the metal plate holding the SIM card was slightly off so I pressed hard against it and it somehow worked, the SIM makes no problems anymore but the battery does.
It doesn't recharge properly, I have to check on it every while to make sure if it recharges, if not then i have to replug the recharger, jiggle with it a bit and sometimes it doesn't even work. The battery usually shows that it's being recharged but the % doesn't always go up. The phone behaves as if it was in energy saving mode. Also, the battery randomly jumps up and down (mainly down) throughout the day (in the morning there can be 50%, later 30% and by the noon almost 0% which then stays till I get home to recharge it).
I look at the phone and there seems to be no visible damage but I can't get into the battery itself.

tl;dr - Battery is damaged, doesn't want to recharge and it's energy jumps up and down randomly

Do you have any idea what to do with it?

I would say, contact your Local support to get it inspected
