It may be application compatibility issue. I remember that when Android was updated from 4.3 to 4.4 on Nexus Tablet OBD application Torque and bluetooth ELM327 stopped working. It took few days for developer of Torque app to fix the issue.

after lollipop update, USB OTG connection not working.

i was using ergdata (rowing app for concept2 rowers) with OTG adapter on kitkat, worked brilliant. however, after lollipop update, device is not recognised anymore. tested with "USB host diagnostics", result was negative (before update: positive).

anyone with similar issues?

thanks

I tested with a USB drive with micro USB connector and it connected just fine.

Perhaps you can find someone that also has a USB drive with micro USB connector to see if it's just the rowing device, or if it's your phone.
