Microphone not working

My microphone is working only when on loudspeaker! When on regular other side can't hear me! What should I do?

Phone is only 3 months "old" ... didn't have any problems till this one

Hi,

Sounds strange. Could you boot the phone into safe mode and place a call to see if same behaviour appear?

I've tried that, still same . This happend after the last system update, don't know if that could be reason?

settings > about phone > diagnostics > test > test mic

you could repair the phone with PCC and report back

I agree with @uliwooly, a software repair via PC Companion would be recommended. Don't forget to backup your data since this will erase your personal data.

Tried testing, still haven't heard anything, tried with audio recording, result was the same ... I'm gonna try PC C now and report back ...

Test the mic with

1 settings > about phone > diagnostics > test

and

2 record a video

if neither of this work then contact your Local support asap

It didn't work either, than I manualy reseted to fabric settings, from phone directly, not the PCC, and now it works!

This phone is garbage, nothing works in order to repair the microphone isues in loudspeakers mode.

So the mic do not work on regular calls, on Skype, when I put it on loudpeakers. The mic did not work when I plug in the 3,5mm jack to link it with my car aux sound system, so I am not able to answer/initiate calls.

I operate, repair with PC Companin, then I update it to .167, and today factory reset, nothing works.

I do the diagnostic mic test. The test passes even with earphones pluged in, earphones without mic atached(car like situation).

Another thing, Ok Google works !

I have the same problem again! Didn't do any new system update and today have the same problem that I thought I've fiksed! Help!

I have the same problem. My speaker isn't working and the phone is new. Restoring to factory settings did not help either.

If you guys have tried the things that has been mentioned previously in this thread, I suggest that you visit nearest service center to have the phone examined. You can contact your Local support for information about nearest service center and/or how to proceed with this in the best possible way.

The trouble is that sometimes somehow it works just fine, and than again same problems. I really don't know what to do cause it looks like that bringing to service won't solve the problem .

Oh yeah, never cross my mind to visit the service-guarantee centre. Thank you for nothing.

The only problem is, they will keep my phone between several days over a week, and in the mean time I don't have any phone to replace it, and all that because Sony took our money, and give us a crappy phone.

I m having the same problem. My microphone is not working. sometimes it start working by itself. and after few minuts stops working., I did factory reset, I repaired with PC compenion. but nothing is working out what should i do?
