Hi, I have the same problem and I followed the instructions given to me by the support center. I was not able to resolve this issue and I would like to send this over to the repair center for further analysis. How do I contact them? Thank you!

I've had my Xperia Z3 for six months and all was working fine, was really happy with the phone. Until about 2 months ago the phone started intermittedly turning off, I would press the power button to switch back on which wouldnt work for about 5 minutes. The phone would work again for 10 minutes and then the same thing would occur

Battery was fully charged, software was all up to date. After advice from customer support I performed a factory reset and the same problems occured

Since then I have put the phone in for repair and it came back after a couple of days with the fix notes of "software reset"

The phone worked again for a couple of weeks but recently has started to do the exact same thing. I've just put it in for repair again after going over all of the same questions and scenario's as I did the first time around

I've read on some other forums that people were experiencing similar issues but can't see a thread representing the problem here. Has anyone experienced the same issue?

Hi,

Sorry to hear that you experience issues with your Xperia Z3. It's hard to pinpoint what the cause can be in these scenarios, since it can be several things. For example:
- Third party apps.
- Corrupt data (from old backup or similar).
- SIM/SD-card.

Of course it can also be a hardware issue, but what a service center always will do is to reset the phone with the latest software to see if the phone functions as normal. If you still experience this behaviour after the service, I first suggest that you try to use the phone without an SD-card and/or another SIM-card.

Thanks for the reply

I've received the phone back after the service centre replaced the motherboard. It seems to be working OK now

I didnt have any third party apps so I confirmed that that wasnt the issue

If it happens again I'll remove the SD card and check. They've given me a new SIM each time too so I don't think its that

Cheers
Ashton
