Poor battery life

As compared with other xperia such as c,m2,z compact in aqua m4 battery last only for 8-10 hours where as in said instruments it lasted more than 1.5 days in the same working circumstances

Different phones, this is my suggestion, reinstall the latest update with PCC, update all the apps and turn off auto update and auto back up > report back in 2 days

Lollipop version installed early in the morning
At 10:00am it was at 100% and now at 12:10 pm it is at 72%

I have experienced the same.. it says that with 4G it could run up to 500 + hours.

Now when fully charget it estimates it to be done in 20 hours.

i have shut down wifi, but are running bluetooth because of the smartband.

I think the the gap between 20 and 500+ is a lot, if it said 200+ hours, I would say ok, but 20? Come on Sony

There must be something wrong with the software or something else.

Looking forward to hear if reinstalling the os helps.

My exact point. The battery life is awful and all I'm doing is browsing How are they allowed to give such wrong battery life info on specs. Mine estimates discharged in 20 hours when I had 2 hours max. At 4am I was on 89%. Now 2 hours of browsing I'm at 58%. This is dreadful! Gonna get rid if Sony don't help soon. I'd rather have entry level Samsung.

Hi i have disconnected ny smartband now, and are not using wireless internet. I are using bluetooth technology in my car, but shuts that of when my car is parked..

I am getting about 24 hours now, but that does not even get half way towards the 4G standby time.. Sony, I am sorry to say, but this looks a bit sad if we have a smart phone that we can only use as a phone if we want it to last more than 24 hours.

I have had my fair share of Sony Phones, Sony Ericsson and Ericsson. I do think you might underestimate your followers here.. I am wondering if I could return it after a week...

Sony, you used to be better than this..

Help me out here, please.

what is using up your battery? you might have apps that are constantly syncing, thus draining your battery faster.

settings > power management > battery > take screenshot of the list and post it here, also tap on the graph and post the screenshot here

make sure to check this once your battery is down to about 10%

After doing all the job suggested it improved for nothing and after that I approached service center they tired for solving the problem but it started overheating so they gone for replacement

I have just bought my xperia m4 ( new) the battery charge lasts only 5/6 hours in stamina mode, no wifi, no gps activated, no calls. How can i solve the problem?
I already have changed a previous m4 -the same battery problem- thinking it was a bug
