Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

That sounds strange. I have never heard that the frame cracks on its own. Our warranty covers manufacturing errors and it's hard for us at the support forum to say if this is a warranty case or not, since the phone often needs to be examined by a technician. An external part is the frame/cap or display e.g (something that is not on the inside of the phone).

I suggest that you contact your local support team for further information about warranty and how to proceed with this in the best possible way:
http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/contactUs/

Hello everybody,
I had a problem with my microphone of Xperia Z2, so I decided to send it to repare.
The assistence center ask me to pay 210 Euro becouse they found a crack on the frame as in the picture.
They told me that this part is not covered by the warranty, and if they dont change it they can't adjust the microphone.

The frame is in plastic and is very weak in this position, I think is a design problem.
Should this kind of problem covered by the warranty?

Many thenks,

axo86
