    <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes, it sort of works but the dynamic range is limited at best. There are apps which have better control over the brightness, I just wonder why such a simple function is beyond sony programmers.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Dave&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi.i use latest version (205) but light sensor doesn't do any thing . it has the same brightness in sunny day or in dark room ! you know that TFT screen is very bad in sunny day and it get worst with useless Light sensor that is just a name with no function ! this d**n device is make me old ! when do you want to solve the problems ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I think it's just you. My ambient light sensor works perfect.&lt;BR /&gt;I suggest you to wait, and update to .207 firmware when it arrives to you, if it doesn't help, perhaps a factory reset/software repair will help, and if even that doesn't help, take it to the nearest Sony Center (or wherever you bought it) and they should repair the phone&lt;/P&gt;</description>

My ambient light sensor works perfect.&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Well if it does I think it's just for you - most everyone elses is 'borked'. Replace the Sony brightness handler with Vellis, it has a better dynamic range. One report I saw said .207 hadn't fixed it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Dave&lt;/P&gt;</description>
