The thing is when I first got the phone, I were recording a test video and looking back at that video I were getting that spread in light effect then. If only I examined the lens closely back then, it's not really noticeable unless in a well lit area. I have not mishandled the phone always been careful and kept in a case since the day I got it. But it's fairly obvious Sony will say it's my fault, slapping a huge repair bill.
Has anyone tried any methods to rid of their scratches on these phones?

Hi,

Recently I noticed a scratch on the camera lens (clueless to how it got there) which affects my pictures when a light ray/beam is present. So I need to get this repaired along with my magnetic port being realigned.

How much on average would it cost to get this camera lens glass replaced by sony repair centre uk?

Are we talking £100+ ?

Thanks.

Got the same problem too, most likely the repair cost will be quite expensive as the outer lens is apparently attached to the outer glass body panel. making it a piece of part on it's own. Guess i would keep my repairment plan on hole\d until it's really hindering the everyday use of the camera on the phone. Such a shame that the lens is so easily damaged.

I literally have the same problem. I have multiple scratches on my camera cover, its annoying and it worries me if it will affect the quality of my photos. Unfortunately, you can't replace just the camera cover, its attached to the hole glass back (well plastic back) you can buy a new back for 20$ on eBay but you need it to be professionally installed which will cost a lot. Shame on Sony for making the cover so susceptible to scratches! Use sapphire next time like apple!

The thing is the plastic lens is glued onto the main backframe... The frame appears to be glass but the lense was plastic because I had to remove it.. From this point my autofocus didn't work anymore I have bought a new camera part and waiting for the whole backcover... Notice repairing the phone on your own will void warranty.
