My goodness. My SD card was also damaged yesterday. Is there any coincidence. I have just updated my Xperia T with latest firmware on 10th March. Sony please check is there any bug or not.

update killed micro SD card

I applied the update last week and within a day my micro SD card said it was unmounted. It's now no longer detected either by the phone or when the phone is connected to the computer. This is my 3rd micro SD card that this phone has killed. It had worked fine for months up until this latest update really wished I hadn't applied the update now. I can't just keep paying for SD cards only for the phone to then kill them. Is this a hardware fault or is it something in the software update? Honestly so fed up with this phone this will be the last sony product I ever waste my money/time on.

Same here, today has killed mine. It's a common thing? Should make a common cause?

Here states that it's a habitual happening on Xperia T and there's no solution?

http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-T-TX/Micro-SD-card-failure/td-p/359834

I can't believe it.

Me too.

I did the update yesterday and almost as soon as the update had installed, a message popped up saying SD card removed.

I cannot do anything to make the phone recognise the SD card.

There is absolutely no doubt it is the update that killed the card and/or made the phone not recognise it. Over to you, Sony.

Seems my problem isn't as simple as it first appeared.

If I go into my camera app and try to choose to save to SD card it says no SD card.

if I go into settings > storage > SD card > Mount SD card it says insert a SD card.

But, all my apps, music and photos already on my SD card are still accessible and if I go to settings > apps > on SD card, they all appear in the list and at the bottom of the screen it tells me how much of the card is used and how much is free.

It clearly is a problem with the update and not a physical problem with the hardware in the card.

So absolutely no help whatsoever from Sony then.

Looks like I'll be going back to HTC for my next phone in a month or so.
