Min telefon verkar skicka dubbla mejl, de är likadana, utom att det ena har två bifogade filer som jag inte kan öppna. Vad ska jag göra för att det ska försvinna?!

My phone seems to send double e-mails. the emails look the same, only difference is that one of them is attaching two files, that I'm not able to open. How do I make it stop?!

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

If you're using the default E-mail application, try deleting your account and then add it again.

If the problem still remains you may want to try using another SMTP server or E-mail application to rule out the problem.

Hi there,

I have the same problem using the standard phone/email- app. I have tried to delete the user and start up again but the same/new problems appeared. I tried sending a email to myself form my phone. Then I logged into the hotmail on my computer to see whats up in the outboks. It now stood that I'd sent three same email and it also sent along two of the earlier email from two days ago! So i sent them a mail, appologizing for sending two of the mails again. But i did only receive one mail, and that is good. Is there a way to fix this? or do i have to change email- app+

I'm not an expert, so my explanation may not be 100% accurate.

Normally when sending an email via SMTP your email application will save a "copy" on the server (your sent folder). Google (and maybe others now) are using customised versions of SMTP servers where the SMTP server itself will save the email, I believe this is not really how it's meant to work.

So, you send an email (via Gmail's SMTP). It saves a copy on the server and then your email application also saves a copy. This results in you having 2 copies in your sent folder (normally with slightly different dates).

If you Google this, there are many cases (especially with Gmail) of this happening. The solution is to configure your email application NOT to save a copy of sent emails. If your email application is unable to be configured this way you'll need to try another one (or if you're using Gmail, use the Gmail application).
