Camera Button Problem Xperia L

Hi,

I Bought the phone 2 days back and observed the camera button on right side is not working properly. I have to literally press so hard to switch it on.

Is their any fix for it.

I tried doing factory reset.

Hi Rohit,

You just remove the back cover and see the right bottom side panel,there you should be able o see actual camera button check whether pressing directley on that button is working or not,if it is working then it might be back panel alignment issue.One more thing you can try is lock the phone and hit dedicated camera button,camera should be activated within 1 sec as per SONY's sdvertisement.

PS:The camera buton provided on side panel is not a feather youch button,normally one should do a gentle press to activate camera and hold pressing for long time(2 to 3 sec) to capure pictre.

Hi Gopish,

You are right it is working as you said. I have to press and hold for 2 to 3 sec to get the Camera active. I taught it was problem only for me is everyone facing the same issue.

Is their any way i can reduce the delay.

the same problem happened with me.It is not working even if i hold for more than 10 sec and so.

Is there defect in handset or there is any setting to activate this.Please reply

Hardware design

We used to capacitive touch and feather touch, so pressing the button seems hard for us

Press on the camera button gently until the square colour turns to blue then press harder and it'll work

Hello,when l open my xperia's camera it opens itself and write :camera stopped.why does it happen

It is two xperia I buy .when I renew system it happened.

Try this if you are still facing the problem. open camera by touch go to setting>quick launch> tick on LAUNCH ONLY (Still camera). it might be off. so dont use off mode in quick launch if you wanna use dedicated camera key
