Gingerbread Update..

Wil there be any updates for Gingerbread (after 2.3.4) in near future or we have now moved on to ICS?

After reading so many post about ICS on Xperia Pro, I personally has decided to stay on GB.

(I own Xperia Pro.)

Not even 2.3.7 as its on some of the Xperias?

Nopes

2.3.7 was/is only for 2012 Xperias

not at all. after looking at many many many many posts really stopped checking my SI number in the update list.

by the way what could be difference it will make if at all upgraded to 2.3.7 ?

for xperia neo 2.3.4 is the last stable build from sony?

I really appriciate the hard work of SE Team to bring ICS to older devices that no other manufacturer has done yet, but I have gone through a number of posts and reviews in this forum and other websites, as well as recently consulted the persons who recently updated their 2011 Xperias to ICS and I have reached a conclusion that I'll never have ICS on my phone, I am happy with GB , if I ever wanted to have ICS I'd rather buy a new phone . Its matter of personal choice though.

I am aware that my phone is not fully compatible for ICS, as mentioned on SE Blog and update page (warning written in Red color !!!!).

There are still lots of things to be improved in GB, Video calling, WiFi issue to name a few.

I can only hope SE team consider this and release an update for GB.

Ill fated Xperias 2011, they are neither compatible with ICS nor they wil get any update for GB.
