Hello there !
I am krishna.I already have Sony xperia S for which I don't have any problems till date.Today,I've purchased another sony xperia S and gifted it to my friend.My friend got an error on his pc in pc companion saying that "Your phone is detected by pc companion,but the phone memory is not yet accesible"

I'm also attaching a screenshot of it !!

Additional details : The phone is upgraded to android 4.0.4 using SUS !!

Through SUS it already got upgraded man !! through SUS only we can upgrade,ryt ? So,to transfer music & videos to the phone pc companion is must,ryt ???
And pc companion gives the above mentioned error !

you don't need PCC to transfer music, files, pictures, videos, just on your computer go to

computer > xperia S > internal storage

Hmm...that works for me !!!
But the other phone..it doesn't work ! I mean,my friend has win xp and when he connected the phone to it...the pop up won't come

he needs the drivers, tell him to run SUS and try to repair his phone, that will download the needed drivers

Just to be sure and to cover all possibilities, have your friend use a different Micro USB data cable.

The phone should be detected by the PC even on Win XP.

If it's only charging then the culprit is the cable.
