error update to the latest version

hi all..

can you help me for this matter? i can't update the latest version

there is always same error in preparing. i've shutdown antivirus and firewall but get some error in my PC, and i try to install PC Companion on my notebook, still same get error

My PC and notebook using Windows 7 64 bit with latest java software from oracle

1 )SUS ( Sony Update Service) ... download and install it on pc and follow the on-screen instructions http://www-support-downloads.sonymobile.com/Software%20Downloads/Update_Service_Setup-2.11.12.5.exe

still can't

using SUS,, got error unexpeted... shutdown aplication...

using xperia update, still same..

i think it's firewall or antivirus acting up

turn them off.

try to run pc in safe mode, try with different pc as well to see if th eproblem exists

still same problem

i'm using my friends PC, disable firewall and Anti virus also,, ho help, still get same error message... how come i can update Xperia U to new updates???/

are u able to download atleast all the files of the software that gets downloaded first before the software starts updating your phone?!

so if all files gets downloaded... phone will shut down itself right?! and u will see it will show on pc "checking phone" let it complete....

then on pc it will say the steps to take off usb and shut down ur phone, but u will see phone was already being shutdown while checking phone....

** Then don't straight away go to that step that press down volume key n plug the usb in phone after taking out the usb from phone....

Before doing that, take out the usb from phone n pc and "turn on your phone" and then switch it off again, then keep the volume down button pressed and insert the usb in phone and update should start... i always do it this way but never got any error... and all goes fine .

finally i take to install SUS on Windows 2003 Server, on my own server and try to update Xperia U to the last firmware, and sucessfully update.

i am also getting the same problem on my friends pc . i will try what you have suggested tomorrow because i cant dont do this on my pc. why? see this.

ok... u can use pc camp or sus ur wish... i always have used pc camp, never faced a single error ever. Though my pc is running on 64 bit windows 7 ultimate .
