azerty-qwerty problem

It seems to my that there is a serious bug in the update. People who have a physical azerty keyboard are confronted with querty and vice-versa. I managed to get my physical keyboard back to azerty but on-screen keyboard stays qwerty. I find sony has to fix the problem in an easy way by a new fairly tested update. Many people like myself have a brand new phone which after update is problematic.

Hope that Sony reacts quick on the right matter. Did't Apple get a general lawsuit ? Maybe we have to organise to get Sony "make believe" in action ?

I have noticed that some users still gets this problem. But you say that you on-screen keyboard got qwerty when it should be azerty? You should be able to change the on-screen keyboard layout.

Check the input language and what keyboard that is selected under input settings in the phone.

I live in Belgium ( in the Dutch-speaking area). As opposed to the Netherlands In Belgium we use the azerty keyboard. So I looked at my key board settings:

language: Dutch (Belgium)
spell checker is on but at the right site clicking the settings gives a page without content
setting by pressing the tool key : there is selected Dutch ( Dutch -Belgium is not available there)

So as far I can see it is right selected only I guess that choosing Dutch in the last setting could give a problem because in the Netherlands they use a qwerty keyboard opposed to our dutch-speaking Belgians

i live in belgium too (french speaking area). have you tried pressing the tools button then selecting french, it will give you the option of qwerty or azerty.

Yes, you can choose than azerty, but the wordsuggestions change then also to french words so that is not the goal also. Thanks anyway

i thought that might have been the case, at least there is an option for you, i'm from scotland and we use a qwerty there, but because i purchased my phone in belgium, i am stuck with an azerty physical keyboard, you get used to it though....eventually.

have you tried the 'slideit' app on the market, if so, were you aware that you can also download the dutch azerty pack for slideit?

this is the link, but you also need to have the slideit app installed first as this is an add on for it

I tried different keyboards an also slideit; the problem is that all disactivate the wordsuggestion fo the physical keyboard.

ok, i think i have found your solution, i tried it on mine and it seems to work.

what i did was set my language for the physical keyboard to french azerty and also selected dutch, you can have them both on at the same time. now, when you open the keyboard to type, press the little globe button and make sure it switches to dutch. i did this and it worked, it was bringing up dutch word suggestions. let me know how you get on, if anything isn't clear, let me know
