UK ICS SI.1257-3114 Update is out

Before I start the update is trying to download to my pc but fails

Now I'm not bothered I've already tried it and found it worse than GB

But this is to let UK members know with that SI Number that it is out but the update fails

Staff here yes it is out I locked my bootloader flashed back my recovery firmware hoping that the update would work so I could then create an FTF file for the members on XDA but it fails at Preparing Pc for software update then 2 thirds the way through it fails

dude i have the same SI number but still PCC shows your phone is up to date. BTW i've bought the phone from UK but now using it in india. May that be the reason for my PC companion showing no update?

When i use SUS i get this error. Should i try later? While PC companion still shows no update.

Same here! SI 1257-3114

PC companion says it's up-to-date, and update service crashes as the screen grab above!

Im pretty sure that ICS isnt available yet in the uk. where did you get this info from may i ask?

From me - my SI number is as stated above and my PCC says it's available but like every member it fails

Mine is tthe same SI Number SI Number: 1257-3114.oo

However, I believe it fails to download or install because it is not yet configured???

Mine fails evey time I have tried with no joy using both SUS and PC Com along with all instructions followed.
Its Sony errors.

Not out yet. it says up to date because its not released i believe.

but if u check ur firmware version, u will probably find its is 3.2.7 old one.

How do we know the 3114 update is actually out aside from the OP?

I'm a bit disappointed in this random roll out. It took months to get here and now "it's here" except really it isn't. I'd rather they didn't announce it was out until I could actually download it.

I also get the Unexpected erorr when trying to load up Sony Update Service. Really want this update to just get released now. How can such a big company, with many resources not be able to release a simple bit of software?

Unfortunately it seems that some users have problems to update their phones to ICS even if their SI number is in the list. We have located some issues and we're working on fixing them as soon as possible.

So if your SI number is listed for the ICS update but you still get the message saying that your phone is up-to-date stay calm we're working on it. We will come back with more info soon.

This is ridiculous this should not happen with such a big company, what sort of so called professionals are in charge of the roll out. I hate apple but you really can see why people choose the simple hassle free way of a iphone instead of this utter rubbish. When it is announced that something is released, all the generic handsets in the world should be able to download it all at once. While im at it someone at sony needs to go over all there pc software and get all the bugs out of it. It only connects 1 in 10 times you connect the phone via usb. I can't even get it to pair so that i can get content to it via the wifi connection. SORT IT OUT NOW OTHERWISE NO MORE SONY PHONES EVER!!!!!

This is very sad...Many xperia s users moved to samsung and htc due to this failure in ICS update by sony....

This is very bad sony, since you are loosing your precious customers here.....

please take it as serious...customers are not jokers,,,,

No solution yet now..no successful updates posted here,,,,

Blimey calm down, its not like your phone is unusable with GB on it is it. The people that release the updates must be wetting themselves with laughter at the power they have over people.
