Do i need to root so I can flash?

I can't wait anymore, so I'm ready to Flash my phone for ICS
I'm just asking do i need any root/unlocking bootloader for need of flashing? I already did backup.

not at all, you do NOT need to either root and/or unlock your bootloader

make sure to backup your current firmware

Yeah but mine flashtool isn't like on screenshots, and i can't backup cuz there is no repair option in SUS anymore, just informs me that i already have latest software

I have no repair option in PCC or SUS so i can't save stock rom
