Hey, Today when i connected my phone to my laptop the PC companion showed a new update available coded 6.0.B.3.162 , is this the ICS update , if not whats new in it ? PLZ REPLY

Devansh, Some people have reported signal drop problem especially on EDGE when upgraded to this build ! Is this true ? What is your experience ?

Luckily i have not updated my Xperia U
But , Since every one is saying the same so there is definitely a problem with this update.
Waiting for the Fix for this Update !

facing signal drops quite frequently..frustrated..dont update guys otherwise the most basic purpose of a mobile will be lost!

this proves that sony just doesnt have a Quality Assurance Department & how responsible their developers are!

maybe none of them have bought this phone hence dont understand what we are going through.

@Sony decision makers if you are so much interested in cost cutting then please dont provide any further updates, just give us the ICS that Google developed without your bUgyyy layer on it.:smileyangry::smileyangry::smileyangry::smileyangry::smileyangry:

To solve this problem of network drop, do the following:

Settings - Wireless & Network - Mobile Networks - Network Mode - Choose the third option - WCDMA(preferred)/GSM

Go back to the main screen and restart.

I updated and now I am facing regular disconnects from the network. Disconnect happens every hour or so. I was using GSM only setting so will try what manojpy has recommended and update.

If the dafult PCC is not working thn

If this doesn;t solve your problem then don't waste time ! update it frm you Friend's PC / Laptop or go to a nearby CYber Cafe to do it .

same issue here - Setting: "GSM Only"

losing connection every hour or so, only reboot helps.

The phone worked well for 3 days with the actual firmware.

The issue happens since 2 days now and only when I am at home - maybe the vodafone "homezone" signal plays a role in that issue?

I wil see what happens in the next days.
