how to get original si firmware

Hello

2 weeks ago, i bought a used/second hand live with walkman (wt19i), on good condition

But i did not checked si number on the device.

The original si on the back of battery: 1253-5745 (dont know what region/country)

When i check using *#*#7378423#*#*, this device loaded with 1254-1950 firmware (indonesian si)

My question is:

Will my walkman be allright with different si firmware?

How to get original si firmware?

I did tried to upgrade/repair from pc companion, and the result was the same 1254-1950 previously loaded.

Please help with this couriousity....

On the link you provided, ive downloaded sus and flashtool.

Ive looked at the videos too.

But i cant find link for wt19i generic firmware.

Those are for Xperia s right?

I think you will most likely get updates way slower compared to a Generic(Unbranded) Firmware.

I advice you to flash it with another firmware using flashtool.

Waw, how to get si code information like that? 😄

I have searched for si code info using google for 2hours, and found nothing usefull,,, T.T

Maybe si code thing is classified to public,,,hahaha

No, my phone wasn't sim locked.

When i bought this phone, it already loaded with .58 version.

Then i upgrade it to .62 using pc companion.

Did pc companion find the right firmware using si code on the back of the battery, or using previously loaded firmware's si code?

Iam afraid that when i already flashed generic firmware (1254-1868 for the example), then pc companion will load back default branded firmware (1254-1950) when i atempt to upgrade/repair.

Yup....it's work.

I decided to use UK generic fw (1254-1868). more usefull system app.

but still stuck on .62 firmware.

I thought that generic fw always get update first than branded one....

Please let me know if the ICS already released on UK generic.

that's a misconception, for example my Xperia S is SIM free and guess what, it hasn't got any updates, I had to manually update it how ..... unfair is that?

yup, very unfair :smileygrin:

I have readed some articles, that sony release firmware based on region they said.

yesterday i tried ics firmware update (the original firmware 1254-1950).

the performance and stability: okay, not bad.

the functionality and compability with older apps: bad

led notification bug, lag on dial pad when type the number (solved by removed some system apk), some app from the market not function properly.

so, i think this fair for now :smileygrin:

stick with gb for a while, till sony release better firmware ( i hope )

Do we need more low end phones? are this phones running a smooth ICS with lower specs than 2011 Xperias?
