xr55a90j and 80j. I use wired ethernet with a static IP. Can I cast from phone or laptop? - it only scans for wi-fi devices

Hi @ijburnell What and how are you trying to cast. Open Chrome browser on your laptop and see if it can see the TV from Cast in its menu.

It doesn’t matter how the TV is connected, as long as it is on the same local area network with the same subnet.

All my TVs are connected by Ethernet with WiFi disabled.

Well sir - you appear to be right!

I was using the dropdown on my phone and the cast option which doesn't show anything because it is searching for wi-fi devices. I hadn't tried the cast from Chrome but as you say it immediately see the TVs so thank you for that
