Video files wont play from NAS but will play from USB stick!

Ive just bought a XR-65X90J and it is connected to my home network with a wired connection.

The TV sees all the video files on my NAS drive out will play very, very few of them. There is no 'preview' still next to the file, no 'preview' video if the file is selected and when I try and play them the screen is either blank or I get the spinning blue circle.

If I play the exact same files from a memory stick connected to the TV they play absolutely fine - a preview still against each file, a preview clip if the file is selected and no issues at all with playback

So there is no issue with codecs or incompatibility etc

Can anyone explain what is wrong and if I need to change any settings what they are?

Hi PhilJW, I'm no expert with the NAS software, but that's definitely a codec/compatibility issue. Try contacting NAS support.
